The white water stadium of Tournon St Martin
« Bring a leisure animation to a very large public »

:: White water stadium > gravity system > Tournon

The white water course of Tournon Saint Martin had to bring a leisure animation to a very large public in a touristic area. The town of Tournon Saint Martin is now a crossing for waterway paddling thanks to this equipment.

Based in the natural parc of Brenne (Indre), this equipment completes the tourist and sport attractions offered by the region. This white water stadium is supplied by gravity water and uses the mobile obstacles system. It is built in the former tailrace canal of a mill. which is now transformed into an accomodation center. A roof-gate allows natural water supply and in parallel, a fish pass consisting of successive basins solves the problem regarding fish migration.

Thanks to mobile obstacles this white water stadium can be used by novices, beginners or high level athletes. The white water stadium of Tournon Saint Martin can be submerged during the centenarian flood of the Creuse River.
