HYDROSTADIUM is a 100 % subsidiary (a wholly owned subsidiary) of Electricité de France (EDF). It manages its activity of white water course engineering since 2001. In 2007, HYDROSTADIUM focused on hydropower engineering which today accounts for more than 85 % of its activity. HYDROSTADIUM’s headquarters are located in the beautiful town of Annecy, 35’ from the Geneva Airport and has also a subsidiary in Toulouse, a 10’ walk away from the Blagnac Airport.
HYDROSTADIUM works successfully on studies related to the design and the rehabilitation of small hydroelectric works, thanks to the wide range of activities within the integrated engineering.
HYDROSTADIUM’s remarkable references concerning white water courses are Sydney(OG 2000), Athens(OG 2004) and Beijing(OG 2008). Each year, HYDROSTADIUM is a co-participant in at least one new project which allows for all kinds of whitewater activities.
HYDROSTADIUM has implemented a 14 month development plan to design THE multiple-use surf wave. This static wave can be positioned on land or on a barge to facilitate travelling practice on lakes or navigable rivers.
