The white water stadium of Millau (France)
«A hydraulic discharge branch with the practice of white water»

:: White water stadium > gravity system > Millau

When restructuring the Maladrerie site, located upstream of the well known Lerouge Bridge, the town of Millau decided to build a new channel not only to make the transit of the Tarn River easier but also to develop a white water stadium. This white water river with modular obstacles, located in the middle of the Maladrerie sport and leisure site, allows different levels of navigation and does not prevent the discharge branch from assuring the flood evacuation. A fish pass consisting of several successive basins has been placed next to the roof gate on the right river side. The fish migration is independant of the flow of the white water course.
