Based in the North of Wales, the Bala River had all the ingredients for becoming a great white water course. We had to show off to advantage this potentiel in order to exploit these exceptional capacities at the most.
HYDROSTADIUM put in place riprap obstacles and created a surf wave. Rocks were put in the river bed and kept in place only by their own weight. In total, 70 m³ of rocks have been put in place by our specialists during the works in order to obtain interesting water movements for white water sports.
Moreover, a surf wave was created to offer to kayakers to practise rodeo on a natural river. Thus, the Bala river has a complete offer with the major activities of white water sports, the downriver, the slalom, the rodeo (film) and the raft.
