A new use: energy production with the HydroNeige® concept
Turbining pressurized water pipelines dedicated to snowmaking makes use of existing “artificial snow” infrastructure. By integrating a turbine and capturing water from a high-altitude stream, the snowmaking facility is transformed into a renewable energy production site for the ski area. This is the principle we have named “HydroNeige”! ❄️ ⚡
With these small hydropower plants, ski areas offset all or part of their consumption while contributing to more environmentally responsible mountain tourism. 🍃
