Hydrostadium designs and develops bespoke whitewater courses and stadiums, adapted to all types of sites and uses.
With more than 25 years of experience, our expertise covers both natural courses on waterways and artificial stadiums, for sports, recreational or event use. We support each project from preliminary studies through to construction and validation, drawing on our expertise in hydraulics, engineering and modelling.
Whitewater offers experiences that are both sporting and recreational, accessible to all ages and skill levels. Canoeing, kayaking, rafting… these activities provide a different way to discover the river, while enjoying the sensations created by torrents and rapids.
When natural conditions are not available, Hydrostadium can create whitewater courses or stadiums tailored to your needs.
Since 1992, Hydrostadium has been designing reliable and sustainable whitewater courses. Our first official project for EDF’s hydraulic division, the tidal whitewater stadium in Lannion, has been operating for more than 30 years without replacing its Omniflots® obstacles, despite the constraints associated with seawater and flooding.
Our projects include three Olympic stadiums in particular: Beijing, Athens and Sydney, and our projects are present on every continent.
