A surf wave by Hydrostadium rolls into Canada!

The ALOHA complex located in Quebec chose Hydrostadium’s French expertise and our Wavestadium® product to develop and implement its new hydraulic jump surf wave. 100% French expertise for surfing from beginners to experienced surfers.

THE WAVESTADIUM® SOLUTION IN A FEW FIGURES

Wavestadium® , the swimming-pool version of our surf wave, is covered by five patents and designed in an eco-responsible manner, notably with:

  • A 450 m³ closed-loop water basin: equivalent to 1/5th of an Olympic swimming pool;
  • Water heated by the machine’s operation, with no additional energy input;
  • Optimized energy consumption: Hydrostadium’s expertise in hydropower was used to design the most energy-efficient system possible,
  • A structure shared by up to 10 surfers simultaneously;
  • A small footprint (approximately 270 m², whereas breaking surf waves require several thousand m²): less concrete to use!

Our surf wave is energy-efficient (consumption below 230 kWh for a 10 m-wide wave) and equipped with devices that completely smooth the surfing surface for excellent ride quality.

ADAPTABLE TO ALL PRACTITIONERS: GUARANTEED FUN!

Our wave can be adjusted from a relatively flat beginner wave of approximately 80 cm to a very steep wave exceeding 1.30 m for experienced surfers. The thick layer of water and the absence of a profile beneath the artificial wave ensure that users do not suffer impacts when they fall.

This endless wave enables enthusiasts of all levels, from the age of 10, to discover and learn (standing up, holding the wave, etc.), as well as improve by practising technical manoeuvres.
