Looking back at the inauguration of the reserved-flow turbine project at the Plan d’Arem dam (31) 🌊🌿

Located in the municipality of Fos, the Plan d’Arem Dam is the first French dam on the Garonne. With an investment of approximately €1.8 million, the project involved installing a Kaplan turbine-generator set in a conduit, with a vertical axis and adjustable blades, and an output of 205 kW.

After approximately two years of studies and works led by Hydrostadium, the teams commissioned the unit, which now turbines the reserved flow, generating 1.66 GWh per year. 💡

At Plan d’Arem too, the reserved flow is turbined while preserving the river’s fauna and flora.🍃
