One week to transform Metz into a surf spot!
At the request of the Metz municipal authorities, Hydrostadium and FFCK installed a temporary surfing wave module at the Pucelle weir. With a width of 5 m, the objective of this prototype, assembled in just a few days, was to demonstrate the technical feasibility of a wave at this location. If this new activity generates sufficient enthusiasm, a permanent module could then be built, providing a wave almost 10 m wide and approximately 1.3 m high, thereby transforming Metz into one of the best river-surfing spots in Europe.
