Restoration of ecological continuity and construction of two small hydropower plants for the city of Vienne (38)
The city of Vienne, with technical assistance from the Syndicat des Rivières des 4 Vallées, established a comprehensive ecological continuity restoration programme covering five weirs on the Gère River, which runs through the city before flowing into the Rhône.
Hydrostadium is the project manager for this project, covering:
- Lowering of the Resdikian weir
- Installation of a fish passage facility on the Pont de la Déviation, Confluence and Redsdikian weirs.
- Development of two small hydropower plants at the Dyant and Béal weirs.
In 2019, Hydrostadium continued its work with the city council in preparation for works planned for 2020.
