Hydrostadium Project: Whitewater Stadium in Lippstadt, Germany 🚣♂️
The water tests of the brand-new whitewater stadium in Lippstadt, Germany, were successfully completed in mid-2024.
For this project, Hydrostadium handled the design and provided all project drawings. To validate its theoretical studies and anticipate the adjustments required on site, Hydrostadium relied on a scaled-down hydraulic model. 🛠️ 📏
This approach notably enabled us to prepare the openings in the civil engineering structures for the installation of a future surf wave. 🌊
🔹 The 100 m long and 10 m wide whitewater stadium, with a 1.4% slope and a maximum flow rate of 14 m³/s (gravity-fed), is equipped with 200 Omniflots movable obstacles distributed across 30 grates.
A great project in which every detail has been taken into account to meet the site’s specific requirements.
