Type of project Construction of a bypass river

Creation of a 330 metre bypass river with a flow rate of 1.5 to 2.5 m3/s and a passage height of 4 to 6.5 m (2 % slope).

Main technical components

Gated water intake; fish observation and counting station; 4 pools separated by partitions with vertical slots to regulate the flow; successive-pool river using riprap and bioengineering techniques; downstream restitution structure with a flap gate; geotechnical structures: diaphragm walls, watertightness plugs, geomembrane.

Specific constraints

Presence of the groundwater table; highly permeable soil; 2 20 KV lines on site; special foundation works (plugs…); proximity to a Class B dam.
