Reserved-flow turbine installation at the Hautefage Dam

Project owner EDF Hydro Centre

Type of project Construction of a power plant turbining the reserved flow

Full project management services for the installation of reserved-flow turbines (turbine-generator units, penstocks and gates, electrical systems and MV HV switchgear) at the Hautefage Dam.

Main technical features

Installation of a 999 kW vertical Francis turbine-generator unit in a new building located at the toe of the dam. The turbine will be supplied by drilling through the existing dam and then installing a new intake and a new penstock.

Specific constraints

As the Maronne is a salmon spawning river, particular care was taken. Since the powerhouse was built before the equipment was installed, the handling operations were closely monitored and supervised in order to eliminate the risk of accidents.

  • Location 19400 Hautefage
